About me

URBAN DESIGNER / PLANNER / ILLUSTRATOR / OUTDOOR LOVER / BOOKWORM

I am an Urban Designer and Planner, based in Asheville, NC with a passion for helping communities create vibrant public spaces that strengthen human connections to communities, and to each other. I love using illustration and creative visual storytelling to help clients and communities create the places they envision. I have been working professionally as an Urban Designer and Planner since 2015. I have been crafting form-based codes and site plan designs for communities across the country, including Cleveland, OH, Concord, NH, and Los Angeles, CA as a Senior Associate at Code Studio since 2019.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Master’s of Urban Design program at the top of my class in 2018. My lifelong love for community combined with my planning and fine arts background, and extensive time spent abroad, has led to a passion for creating vibrant, healthy, sustainable and successful public spaces through urban design and the arts. After earning my Bachelor’s in Urban and Regional Planning from East Carolina University, I worked and volunteered in the Asheville community in both the private and public urban planning and design sectors.

I love the outdoors, and spend as much time as possible in it. After living in many cities across the US and abroad, I recently moved back to Asheville to reconnect with nature and my roots. When I’m not working or drawing, I’m usually out with my dogs and partner exploring all of the wonderful hiking trails and activities this area has to offer, working on renovating my (nearly) 100 year old home, or just porch-sittin’ with a good book.
